On Monday, since it was the last real day of Kelsy's summer, we went to Trafalga as a family. We played a round of minature golf. We did the inside course. It was really cool. They've changed the inside course since we were last there. Now it has black light and is decorated to be an undersea theme. Kelsy got 3 holes in one.
Tuesday was the open house for school. Kelsy got her schedule and we met her teachers. They've changed things a little this year. Instead of having AB days they are doing terms. So for the whole first term she will have the same rotation. She starts out in Social Studies with Mrs. Bird (40 minutes) then she goes to Math Enrichment with Mrs. Makin (40 min) then Art/Music with Miss Smith (40 min). After the rotation she has math for 90 min with Mr. Bird (during which time they have their lunch time) then for the rest of the day she goes to Mrs. Clark for Language Arts. Kelsy was so happy to Mrs. Clark because she is Sadie's mom and she knows her already.
Wednesday was Kelsy's first day of 4th grade at Brookside Elementary. She was nervous at first, but when I picked her up that afternoon she said she'd had a great day.
On Friday, after school, Stacy and I picked Kelsy up and we had a girls night out. We went to the movie Mamma Mia! then out for dinner. All three of us love the music of ABBA and sang along with the movie.
On Saturday we spent the early afternoon canning beans from the garden. Then Eric went up to my parents to help Dad finish putting in the new dishwasher and disposal.

August 10-16, 2008
This was the last full week of summer vacation. We really didn't do anything special. Just hung out and worked around home.

On May 17, Kelsy, Stacy, Ed and I went up to Salt Lake City and met Lori and Libby Raulston, and Michelle Whitney at the South Towne Center. We then took two cars and proceeded to drive to Ogden where the Utah Renaissance and Fantasy Faire was. It was a lot of fun. Her is a digital scrapbook I did on Facebook using pictures taken that day.

This has been a long week. The first few days of the week were fine. Everything ran smoothly. Monday we finally got DSL internet through quest. Eric had it up and running that evening. During the day Kelsy spent time playing with her friend Sadie Clark, at Sadie's house, and I went with my friend Jaclyn Phillips, and Stacy(my sister) to Franklin Elementary to help Jaclyn get ready for the start of school. Tuesday we stayed home and basically played on our new internet.
Wednesday Stacy, Kelsy and I went to the library in Provo, and then went up to mom and dad's house. Wednesday was Stacy and Todd's anniversary. They've been married 4 years now. Wednesday night Kelsy, Eric and I went out to dinner at the China Cafe in Springville. While we were there it was raining really hard, but just before we left it stopped and there was the most beautiful rainbow in Springville.

Thursday Kelsy played again with Sadie, and then spent the evening with her dad. Stacy and I spent the day at Franklin again helping Jaclyn. We got home really late. Friday we also spent the all day at Franklin. We were stamping books and cleaning the room. Again we got home really late. Saturday was spent doing laundry and playing on the computer.
